At Woodside Dog Grooming Cabin, your dog's comfort, welfare, and safety will always come first. These terms are designed to help ensure a safe and positive experience for both dogs and owners.
By booking an appointment, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Health & Vaccinations
Owners must inform Woodside Dog Grooming Cabin of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, sensitivities, or behavioural concerns before the appointment.
Dogs should be up to date with their vaccinations for their own safety. Dogs showing signs of contagious illness, including sickness, diarrhoea, kennel cough, or skin infections, must not attend appointments.
If a dog is found to have fleas during the groom, a flea treatment fee may be applied due to the additional cleaning and sanitation required.
Behaviour & Welfare
Owners must inform the groomer of any history of aggression, biting, anxiety, nervous behaviour, or handling sensitivities.
Woodside Dog Grooming Cabin reserves the right to refuse or stop a groom at any point if continuing would cause distress, place the dog at risk, or pose a safety concern to the groomer.
No dog will ever be forced through a groom if it is not in their best interests to continue.
Matted Coats
Matted coats can cause significant discomfort and may hide underlying skin conditions, sores, parasites, or injuries.
Where a coat is heavily matted, clipping short may be the most humane option. While every effort will be made to achieve a tidy result, the owner understands that this may not match their preferred style.
In some cases, removing matting may reveal or cause:
- Skin irritation or redness
- Small nicks or abrasions
- Haematomas
- Pre-existing skin conditions
- Coat texture changes
By booking a grooming appointment, the owner authorises Woodside Dog Grooming Cabin to remove matting in the most humane and welfare-focused way possible.
Accidents & Emergency Care
Although every care and precaution is taken, grooming equipment is sharp and dogs can move unexpectedly. Minor accidental injuries can occasionally occur, particularly with elderly, nervous, matted, or wriggly dogs.
Should an injury or medical emergency occur during the groom, Woodside Dog Grooming Cabin will contact the owner immediately where possible. If urgent veterinary treatment is required and the owner cannot be reached, the owner authorises the groomer to seek veterinary attention on the dog's behalf.
Any veterinary costs resulting from pre-existing conditions, matting, behavioural issues, or undisclosed medical concerns remain the responsibility of the owner.
Puppies & Elderly Dogs
Puppy grooms are introduced gradually to create a positive experience. Full grooms may not always be possible during early appointments.
Extra care is taken with elderly dogs; however, grooming can sometimes be stressful for older pets and may aggravate underlying health conditions. Owners acknowledge that senior dogs may require shorter or adapted appointments.
Appointment Times & Collection
Appointment times are approximate and may vary depending on coat condition, behaviour, and the services required.
Owners are asked to collect their dog promptly once notified that the groom is complete. Repeated late collection may result in an additional charge.
Cancellations & No Shows
At least 24 hours' notice is appreciated for cancellations or rescheduling.
Woodside Dog Grooming Cabin reserves the right to charge for missed appointments, late cancellations, or repeated no-shows.
Photographs & Social Media
Photographs will be taken before, during, or after grooming for business social media or marketing purposes.
Please let me know if you would prefer your dog not to appear on social media.
Payment
Payment is due upon collection of your dog unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Prices may vary depending on:
- Coat condition
- Behaviour
- Time required
- Matting
- Additional services requested
Any additional charges will always be discussed where possible before proceeding.
