FAQs

No. My grooms are practical and focused on the welfare of your pet. I will always aim to give you the groom that you want, but I won't do that if it's going to be at the detriment of your pup.

I'm not here to judge you. If we are talking a few little mats, I will clip them out and move on. If we're talking about a heavily matted dog, it is likely that I will need to clip your dog back to basics for their wellbeing.

If you have a puppy that is going to need regular grooming, or you are planning to have regular grooms, bring your puppy as soon as it is fully vaccinated. The earlier your puppy is introduced to the groomers, the sooner it will get used to the experience.

Their first session would be a puppy introduction — a bath, introduction to scissors and clippers, and so on. Nothing too taxing, and lots of lovely treats.

That really depends on your dog and their coat type. Speak to me, and we can work out a schedule together.

I generally expect to be grooming a dog for around 2 hours. This can be slightly less, or slightly more depending on a few factors, including the size of the dog, their coat thickness, and if they are matted. If I expect to be late to finish, I will let you know ahead of time.

Yes. I can only ever have a maximum of two dogs on the premises at any one time, and I will only have two dogs in that live in the same household.

I know that life happens, and the occasional lateness is inevitable. However, it can have quite a serious knock-on effect on other bookings, so please try not to be late. I can only have two dogs onsite at any one time due to planning permission restrictions.

I would need to know the breed of dog, and the level of risk I was dealing with before making that call. It's important that both myself and your dog are safe, and, given I am a solo groomer, if there's any chance safety for either party was in question, the answer would have to be a no.

I'm a welfare-first dog groomer, so I will work with your dog as much as possible to build their trust in me and the grooming process. Where the case is of the severity that it's not in the best interest of the dog to put them through the groom, we can talk about what other options are out there.

No, I don't.

Yes! I have insurance. I have been trained at South Coast Dog Grooming Academy and I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Kennel and Cattery Management, which included significant focus on dog behaviour and welfare.

Cash, BACS, or I can send you a payment link.

Technically yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd suggest delaying your groom by a week to wait for the season to finish.
