Hi, I'm Chelsea and I'm the owner of Woodside Pet Grooming Cabin.
My love for dog grooming started when I was around 18 years old, when I took on a work experience placement at a dog grooming parlour in Merley. I lived in Hamworthy at the time, and I remember getting two buses at a ridiculously early hour just to make it there on time! I loved bathing and drying the gorgeous pups and spending time with them throughout the day.
Life eventually took me in the direction of office work, and I spent many years climbing the corporate ladder, eventually building a career in HR where I stayed for 11 years. Over time, though, I realised my heart just wasn't in it anymore, and I started thinking seriously about what I truly wanted to do. One thing I kept coming back to was dog grooming.
So, I handed in my notice, booked my place at South Coast Grooming Academy, and the rest is history.
With the help of my husband and father-in-law, we built my dream grooming cabin in the garden — a calm, cosy space fully equipped with everything needed to give your dogs the best possible experience with me. It really is a special little place.
Outside of grooming, I'm also a singer, and you'll often find me performing at venues across Dorset and Hampshire at weekends. My husband and I also have three fabulous cats who keep us very busy and who you'll probably meet when you come through the garden! Just watch out for our tabby… she's a little bit spicy.
My love for animals, especially dogs and cats, is completely genuine. Nothing makes me happier than meeting dogs with wagging tails or a purry cat. I pride myself in seeing them leave feeling comfortable, cared for, and happy. With me, you can be assured that your pets's welfare, comfort, and safety will always come first.
